Looks like Hwoarang has run off and made this page, Steve Fox/Tekken 5 Strategy, without telling Baek Doo San and hasn't done it right! Please fix it by re-formatting this page to follow it's template. |
As a general rule, steve cannot match the long range attacks of other characters and can also suffer from an agressive foe.
Fortunately steve has two facets which more than make up for these weaknesses. The first is his mobility, steve has a numbe rof mves that allow him to quickly close with the enemy, all of which are linked to other moves, gifting him with a good range of charging combos. - [ALB, 2] [F+4, 1] either of which followed by a [1,2~1,2~b+2] make for decent damage, damage protection and distance closure.
His second saving grace is his evasive moves, a simple [3,2] or [4,1,1] make for a great counter to a charging enemy.
With steve, aim to keep a long distance from the opponent by using knock down or launcher moves, backing away , then close the distance and pound into them until they recover (with luck the wont), at which point simply repeat the procedure using varied combos, to keep them guessing. If you are on the defensive, duck and counter as much as humanly possible and try using [SWY, (F_U_D_B)~1+2] to keep yourself off the walls.
