Jeff Slater is the Vale Tudo champion during the events of Tekken 4 who used to watch Craig Marduk's fights on TV all the time. When Marduk went to an abandoned fight arena, Slater appeared and challenged him to a fight. Marduk ignored him and tried to leave but was stopped in his tracks by Slater who accused him of being scared and seeing "legendary fighter KO'ed" in the headlines. Marduk simply headbutted Slater to the ground and left the arena, stepping on Slater's body along the way.
