Introduction
Prototype Jack, or P. Jack for short, was introduced in Tekken, and returned for Tekken 2. Prototype Jack was also in Tekken Tag Tournament, but that game is non-canonical. Prototype Jack is the rival of Jack in Tekken and the rival of Jack-2 in Tekken 2. He was defeated by Jack 2 in the 2nd tournament.
Trivia
- Prototype Jack is the only "Jack" robot in the Tekken series who has been playable in more than one canonical game.
- Prototype Jack is the first robot in the "Jack" series to receive the ability to fly (in Tekken 2). It is one of his moves and one of his win animations, and he does it in both of his endings. This ability was carried on to every "Jack" robot built afterwards.
- Prototype Jack's stage theme in Tekken 1 is in the UK
- Some fans believe that Prototype Jack is British, even though the "Jack" robots are all Russian
Story
The prototype for Jack was developed by Russians. Since it was just a step in the production, the skin was removed from the mech. Prototype Jack was built only for power, so his power capacity far surpasses that of the completed Jack. Heihachi Mishima has entered him into the contest in order to face him against Jack.
Prototype Jack is an upgrade of Jack-2, and he has more features than Jack-2. To prove that he is the superior model of "Jack", he enters the tournament to face his all time rival to see who is the better robot.
Ending Animation "Screw Loose"
Prototype Jack comes out of the shadows and flies straight up into the sky. Unknown to Prototype Jack, three screws have fallen out as he flies away.
Tekken: The Motion Picture
Three Prototype Jack robots are programmed to protect the labs in which Lee Chaolan and Heihachi Mishima had their test subjects hidden. There comes a point in time where the three Prototype Jacks and Jack-2, along with Lei Wulong, have a battle in the middle of the lab.
Prototype Jack is featured as a playable character in Tekken Tag Tournament, a non-canonical Tekken game. This is Prototype Jack's last appearance as a playable character so far.
Ending Animation
Prototype Jack and Gun Jack stare at each other while standing close to each other. Both bow their heads. They turn around slightly, put their hands in the air, and then they fly straight up into the air. This ending takes place in Paul Phoenix's Tekken Tag Tournament stage.
