An attack parry is where you anticipate your opponent's attack and push aside the incoming attack. Every character in Tekken Tag Tournament has the ability to parry low attacks with the generic d/f command, but beside this common low parry some characters have a special command low parry, mid parry, high parry and special attack parry.

The following is the frame analysis for the different types of low parry. We will break it down to frames of execution, frame window where the low parry is active, frame window where your character cannot input a command if you miss a low parry and finally the amount of advantage frames after a successful low parry.

You can buffer a low parry while tagging in by holding D/F during the tag in run, you will automatically parry any low attack during the tag. The low parry will shift your opponent slightly of axis so the 15 frames advantage does not necessarily mean a quick juggle starter is guaranteed after a low parry.

Only four characters in Tekken Tag Tournament have to ability to parry both punch and kick attacks at high and mid range. High parry and mid parry result in a 6 frame advantage.

The special attack parry and auto reversal are specific to one character. The charts include frames of execution, frame window where the special attack parry or auto reversal is active, the frame window where your character cannot input a command if you miss the special attack parry or auto reversal and some additional notes if needed.


Baek Doo San (b+1+2) Execution Active Window Freeze Window 1 11 11 Notes Works on high and mid punches. Gives a 15 frame advantage. Doing b+1+2~b will move Baek into Flamingo Stance after the Parry but in this case the frame advantage will be less.

  Lei Wulong (f+3+4) 

Execution Active Window Freeze Window 5 20 None Notes Works on high and mid punches. Gives a 6 frame advantage and the opponent will be Back Turned or Side Turned. When the Parry is missed Lei will go into Drunken Stance


Bryan Fury (b+1+2) Execution Active Window Freeze Window 2 9 24 Notes Works on high and mid punches. Input ~2 after a left punch Parry and Bryan will do a Mach Auto Reversal (f,f+2). Input ~2 after a right punch Parry and Bryan will do a Vulcan Auto Reversal (d/f+2).

  Ganryu (b+2+4) 

Execution Active Window Freeze Window 2 10 33 Notes Works on high and mid punches including Shoulder Rams. Input ~1+2 after the Parry to do the d+1+2 Pedal Press back throw. If you input d+1+2 the throw is not guaranteed.


Bruce Irvin (f,f+2) Execution Active Window Freeze Window 0 10 None Notes If Bruce gets hit with a high or mid punch within 10 frames of executing the Nightmare Mach Punch , he will Auto Reverse. Damage depends on which move is reversed.

  Jun Kazama (2+3) 

Execution Active Window Freeze Window 10 4 None Notes If Jun gets hit with a high or mid punch within 22 frames of executing the Sparrow Pirouette, she will Auto Reverse. Damage depends on which move is reversed.


Forest Law (b+1+2) Execution Active Window Freeze Window 5 11 n/a Notes Works on high and mid punches. If the Parry is missed Law will go into Tricky Step Stance. Does 25 points of damage up close and freezes the opponent if they are a little further out. You can input 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 after a successful Parry for additional attacks. See Law's Move List and Frame Data List for details. No extra input gives a 11 frame advantage.

  Ogre (b+1+2) 

Execution Active Window Freeze Window 1 n/a n;a Notes Works on high attacks and throws. Must be done at the moment to opponent's move starts. There is no animation on Ogre's part if the move is done at the wrong time. Does 25 points of damage up close and freezes the opponent if they are a little further out. Can be a juggle starter on aired opponent. The opponents move does not have to be within hit range for Ogre to do the Ancient Power.


True Ogre (D/F) Execution Active Window Freeze Window None Infinite None Notes You can crouch walk to achieve this Deadly Feast Auto Reversal. Works on all punch attacks executed with a d/b or d or d/f command. Opponent can escape the Deadly Feast throw by pushing 1. The Deadly Feast Auto Reversal takes priority over the d/f Low Parry.

  Heihachi Mishima (d+1+4)  

Execution Active Window Freeze Window None 60 None Notes If Heihachi gets hit by a most right mid or high kicks during the entire Demon Tile Splitter animation, he will Auto Reverse. Heihachi takes 50 points of damage and the opponent suffers 55 points of damage. You feel like going over all the mid and high right kicks in the game to see if it works let me know. I didn't think so...


Anna Williams (FC,f+2) Execution Active Window Freeze Window 2 17 0 Notes Works on most high and mid attacks. Gives a 6 frame advantage. Scarlet Windmill completes on whiffed parry..

  Anna Williams (b+4)  

Execution Active Window Freeze Window 3 10 None Notes Reverses throws. Reverses most mid and low attacks. Does 25 points of damage.
