Arcade mode

Arcade mode is a recurring game mode in the Tekken series of games. Arcade Mode, a platform-exclusive mode, represents the Arcade version of a Tekken game. Unlike another Tekken game mode, "Time Attack", this mode's rounds and time limit can be modified to the player's liking.

In the first sequel, the player fights through eight stages. They fight 6 random characters, 1 sub-boss, and Heihachi thee boss. Then the character's ending plays. Their sub-boss also gets unlocked.

In Tekken 2, it is similar to Tekken except there are no sub-bosses and the boss is Devil. Unlockable characters are still featured.

In Tekken 3, it is similar to Tekken and Tekken 2 but there are two sub-bosses (Heihachi and Ogre) and one boss (True Ogre).

The player fights through eight stages but does not unlock anything. The boss is Heihachi.

In Arcade mode, the player fights an unlimited number of AI characters for money and rank. The rank of the character used, compared to the rank of the opponent, decides the amount of money earned. If both are the same rank, 1000G is earned, if the opponent's rank is lower, 800G is earned, and if the opponent's rank is higher 1000G+100G for each rank higher it is, is earned. Of course, the higher the rank of the AI, the more difficult it will be. In order, the ranks are Beginner, 9th kyu, 8th kyu, 7th kyu, 6th kyu, 5th kyu, 4th kyu, 3rd kyu, 2nd kyu, 1st kyu, 1st dan, 2nd dan, 3rd dan, 4th dan, 5th dan, Shihan, Expert, Master, Virtuoso, Champion, Legend, Sage, Warlord, Conqueror, Deity, and Tekken Lord.
