[edit] Random

Do you still live in Denmark Hecko? KingIsBest 18:30 18 October 2007 (AEDT).

Yup, indeed I do. Why do you ask? --Hecko 05:57, 18 October 2007 (PDT)
This is the random part, your crown princess (Mary) used to go to the school I currently go to. Lol, very random and you probably couldn't care less but oh well. KingIsBest 16:01, 19 October 2007 (AEDT).
That's kind of cool. Say, I've been wondering for a while. Do you type in you username, before the time stamp, manually? --Hecko 07:29, 19 October 2007 (PDT)
Alright i'll stop playing dumb. KingIsBest 15:24, 19 October 2007 (PDT) (there we go.)
Actually maybe I'll tell you the story behind it. Originally I was used to the signature using universal co-ordinated time (UTC like wikipedia uses), but then I found tekkenpedia uses PDT, which at the time I had no idea what it was. After that I noticed WikiSysop used to use EST (same as AEST). So I thought it would be alright if I did the same. Later I found out that PDT was Pacific Daylight Time and it was the Time Zone used by American states, but seeing as I had been using AEST for a while now, I decided to keep using it. So, yes I wrote it manually. So, I can start using the automatic signature if thats the right thing to do (which it probably is). KingIsBest 15:35, 19 October 2007 (PDT)
Do you think you could answer this and this, thanks. KingIsBest 16:19, 19 October 2007 (PDT)
You could just use tildes. ~~~ gives you username, without the timestamp; ~~~~ is username+timestamp; ~~~~~ is timestamp, no username. That way, you can just avoid typos with your name, which is why I was wondering. I don't mind what timestamp you use, and if it wasn't such a hastle, mine would read CET. --Hecko 01:11, 20 October 2007 (PDT)
Yeah, I started using ~~~~ which is what everyone else uses. But, I guess it doesn't really matter what time stamp we use seeing as we're all over the world anyway. By the way CET is Central European Time, is it not? KingIsBest 01:26, 20 October 2007 (PDT)
Indeed it is. --Hecko 01:33, 20 October 2007 (PDT)

[edit] I've upgraded your account to Bureaucrat

Because of your great and useful work on Tekkenpedia, as well as at the request of Samuel, I have upgraded your account to Bureaucrat. Thanks for all of your work on Tekkenpedia! JunKazamaFan 03:58, 23 October 2007 (PDT)

No worries. And thanks. --Hecko 04:27, 23 October 2007 (PDT)
Okay. No problem! JunKazamaFan 04:35, 23 October 2007 (PDT)

[edit]  ???

Hi, have you had any trouble getting onto Tekkenpedia lately. I couldn't get onto it all yesterday and i am writing this from school. Also congrats on your upgrade! KingIsBest 15:51, 23 October 2007 (PDT)

I only have "trouble" logging on. It says it was unable to because I haven't allowed cookies, but it logs on anyway. And thanks by the way. --Hecko 17:50, 23 October 2007 (PDT)
Yeah I always get that message, what I meant was I couldn't reach the site for some reason. By the way, I noticed that you changed the positions part of Basic character controls to say All instead of KND What I mean by "Position" is the grounded position in which you have to be in to do the move, eg. Rising Feet Lunge can only be done from KND grounded position. Atleast that is what I thought, but I haven't changed it because I could be wrong and you could be right(again), but I am fairly certain that some grounded moves can only be done from KND, SLD etc. KingIsBest 22:35, 23 October 2007 (PDT)
No, I haven't experienced that problem, so it's possible that it occurrede and was resolved while I was sleeping. As for the basic character moves, the Rising Feet Lunge was a mistake on my side, that was supposed to stay as KND. As for the other moves, they can be done from any position, but damage changes according to position, e.g. Rising Mid Kick (in T5) is 12 damage from KND, but 10 damage from the three others. --Hecko 01:58, 24 October 2007 (PDT)
I'm pretty sure it's just KND for the ones you changed. Anyway, I'm going to create an article about EWGF, seeing as hopefully I am not the only person in the world who didn't know what it was. Because you have a youtube account and because I am certain you can produce a quality video of yourself performing an EWGF, what do you think about making one? I would do it myself but I dont have a youtube account. KingIsBest 00:05, 25 October 2007 (PDT)
You can see how the EWGF article is going here the setup might need to change and I am going to make an infobox for it, but it will get there. I know I am asking you alot of favours but could you re-direct EWGF and E.W.G.F to Electric Wind God Fist. :) KingIsBest 03:14, 25 October 2007 (PDT)
Good initiative. I can try to perform an EWGF, but since my "illness" became more severe, my left arm and hand don't respond so well, so my percentage of EWGF success is rather low. I can try to do it on T3 though, since my percentage there is higher, due to playing on a keyboard, but I don't know if I can record that... --Hecko 04:37, 25 October 2007 (PDT)
Don't worry about it then, I could ask JKF or RaiJinX or I could make the video and use my friends Youtube account (if he lets me). I'm gonna upload an image of Jin performing an EWGF in TTT, but I am also going to try and take a photo of it using command capture on T5. The article makes alot more sense now thanks! KingIsBest 18:37, 25 October 2007 (PDT)

[edit] Making Tekken Videos

KingIsBest has asked me to make a video showing every character performing an Electric Wind God Fist. I really want to do this, but I don't know how to, and I don't know what equipment I need to do it. I have seen your Tekken Tag Tournament YouTube video (Evasion 101), so I assume you know about this. Great video, by the way! I rated it five stars and favorited it! I don't want to trouble you or anyone else to make it. These people may be busy. I prefer to go through the trouble and make it myself. Please tell me how to do it and what equipment I need. JunKazamaFan 20:46, 25 October 2007 (PDT)

You just need a TV-Tuner card with a/v-ins (like the three plugs you have on your TV for pluging in your PS2). It's important that you make sure it has the yellow one (video), as most TV-Tuner cards will have the two Audio plugs, but then a composite video plug, which is essentially crap quality in many cases. If one of the audio plugs are missing (white/red), then don't worry about it, sound will usually be distributed as stereo anyway. --Hecko 02:22, 26 October 2007 (PDT)
To reduce waiting time, here are some EWGF RAWs that just needs editing and... stuff. Technically, Jin doesn't do an EWGF, but an EWHF (Electric Wind Hook Fist), but I added it because it could work as a sister-article and then I wouldn't have to bother with doing it later. I also added Mokujin doing both moves. In all cases, they have the regular move first, the electrified move afterwards. Jinpachi is not in it. --Hecko 06:07, 26 October 2007 (PDT)
Lol I would look at it but if it is anything over 10mb it'll blow my monthly usage. I am sure it's good though. KingIsBest 00:16, 27 October 2007 (PDT)

[edit] Tekken 3 (what happens after 1001 matches)

HI! THIS IS TEKKEN-RULES2007 LOGGED OFF. AFTER 1001 MATCHES IN TEKKEN 3 NOTHING HAPPENS. Tekken-rules2007 12:49, 28th October 2007 (PDT)

Nothing as in: "The battles just stop", "The counter resets", "The counter continues to XXX", "Battles continue, but counter does not increase", "Counter continues, but can only show last 3 digits". Specify please ^_^ --Hecko 05:56, 28 October 2007 (PDT)

[edit] Re-name article.

Hi Hecko, is it possible that the article Head Butt Carnival be renamed Headbutt Carnival. It occured to me that Headbutt is one word. KingIsBest 22:03, 14 November 2007 (PST)

Sure thing, no worries. --Hecko 22:09, 14 November 2007 (PST)
Thankyou! KingIsBest 22:11, 14 November 2007 (PST)

[edit] Lol

Y,know it never occured to me (until I read your Danish wikipedia page) that you could speak Danish. Oh well, now I know. KingIsBest 23:17, 20 November 2007 (PST)

I speak a variety of languages, and understand even more. I currently speak Danish and English (very well), and also Serbo-Croatian, German and Japanese on like... grade school level. I understand the before mentioned languages, and in the case of the latter three, I understand them better than I speak them, as well as Swedish, Norweigean, Croatian, Bosnian, and Serbian. I don't want to get into various dialects. Now you know that too ^_^ --Hecko 02:12, 21 November 2007 (PST)
Cool, say I was wondering, you said on the danish thing there is reason why your named Hecko, are you ever going to reveal why? KingIsBest 16:31, 21 November 2007 (PST)
That is a long, complicated and confusing story... --Hecko 23:49, 21 November 2007 (PST)

[edit] King secret move

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't this so called "secret" move of King's (the one where he charges and then circles around) just supercharger? I tried supercharger with king a few minutes ago and thats exactly what happens. KingIsBest 22:39, 21 November 2007 (PST)

No. With Ki Charge, you can escape the animation, with the secret move, you have to wait until the entire animation is over before you can start moving again. But the animation itself is the same. --Hecko 23:49, 21 November 2007 (PST)
Oh, OK, don't suppose you know the command to the secret version? KingIsBest 00:17, 22 November 2007 (PST)
1+2+3+4~1+2+3 as I recall. --Hecko 00:20, 22 November 2007 (PST)
Great then someone can write an article about it, only question is what's it called? KingIsBest 00:28, 22 November 2007 (PST)
In addition to what Hecko X said, after performing "1+2+3+4~1+2+3", King will gain Ki Power, allowing the first move that King hits his opponent with to have the properties of a "Counter" hit. Waiting until the end of "1+2+3+4" will not give King Ki Power, meaning that the first move that connects with his opponent will not be given the properties of a "Counter" hit. In short, the ends of those two moves are different. I don't know what it's called. Sorry. JunKazamaFan 00:35, 22 November 2007 (PST)
That too. But in any case, it's more prudent to simply charge regularly, if you had to choose between the two. Unless the secret move has some property I'm totally oblivious to. --Hecko 07:34, 22 November 2007 (PST)
That's true. JunKazamaFan 13:01, 22 November 2007 (PST)
I can't find the name of this move, so I'm going to go with the name "King's Extended Supercharger". JunKazamaFan 13:31, 22 November 2007 (PST)
Okay. I've created the article. Here it is: King's Extended Supercharger.
Ok, kewl. I'll correct the info later, since I'm eating right now. --Hecko 14:24, 22 November 2007 (PST)

[edit] Random statement

OMG i can edit my sandbox in my moms laptop and my compute! they're old! i need a new computer. i think i can use my dad's laptop. Jinny

I'm guessing it was supposed to say that you can't edit your sandbox, for the sentence to make sence. Your sandbox is like any other page on the wiki, so what you're essentially saying is that you can't edit anything. Is this the case? --Hecko 16:09, 24 November 2007 (PST)

[edit] General Wiki Question

Your quite up to the play on MediaWiki Hecko, any idea why on this page (separate site) in the infobox on the righthand side, the first item in the room facilities list doesn't get made into a bulleted list?

Hecko Xtalk
08:47, 1 December 2007 (PST)
Because it is part of a template. MediaWika recognizes a bulleted list by the first symbol in a line being an asterisk (not entirely true, but it's a simplified version of how it works. Now in a template, after parameter, no matter how many times you press "enter" (i.e. how many lines down the first line containing the first asterisk is), the system will always read it as if they are written on the same line, in which case the asterisk would not be the first symbol on a new line (it would be read as being directly after the eqation sign), hence it does not become part of the bulleted list. I have three possible solution on how to make it work anyway, but I am sketchy as to wether or not the third one will actually work in this case as well:
  1. Add text after the parameter and make sure the first item is on a new line (like it is now). Then of course, you'd have to deal with having the text there as well.
  2. Add a <br> (break) after the parameter and make sure the first item is on a new line (like it is now). But then you'd have to deal with having a blank line above the first item, when you read the article.
  3. Create a template containing only an asterisk and then call on it in place of the asterisk that is now just before the first item. If this works, you wouldn't have to deal with anything being above the first item, but like I said, I'm unsure on this one.

I am very sorry about deleting this article! It was a very terrible mistake! I only wanted to remove the vandalism! Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I didn't do it on purpose. I don't know how I overlooked the fact that I deleted the article! But, fortunately, it was noticed and it was restored. Again, I'm very sorry for doing this!

Hecko Xtalk

no worries, you don't have to go all out in an apology. Simpler is, more often than not, better, so a simple "I'm sorry" would have been enough.

[edit] Accepting video requests (I advise everyone on this site to read this)

Hecko Xtalk
06:40, 17 December 2007 (PST)
Starting today and up until Christmas morning, I will be doing "First To 3000"-requests in Tekken 5 (if you don't know what a "First to 3000" fight is, see here). All registered users can request a total of 3 "First to 3000"-videos. Please copy/paste the following template (form here, not the edit page) to request:

'''''Winning Character (played by Hecko):''''' <character name><br>
'''''Losing Character (AI on Ultra Hard):'''''<character name><br>
'''''Stage:''''' <stage name><br>
'''''Priority on my request list:''''' <number>

Example:
Winning Character (played by Hecko): Bryan Fury
Losing Character (AI on Ultra Hard): Yoshimitsu
Stage: Moonlit Wilderness
Priority on my request list: #2

The "priority"-thing is because I'll be doing everyone's #1 priority first, when all are complete, I move on to #2 and then #3, meaning that if I don't have to to make them all, the lower priority request is the most likely to be cut. Also, mirror-matches are allowed.
