Tekken 6 is the latest installment in the famous Tekken fighting game series. It was released in the arcades in Japan on November 26th 2007 and is yet to be released on consoles.

The 5th King of the Iron Fist Tournament has ended with Heihachi Mishima missing and the eventual winner being Jin Kazama.

Jin Kazama then assumes the role as head of the Mishima Zaibatsu and begins using the special Tekken force units for propaganda and manipulative acts all over the world. Eventually many people become upset by this and it starts riots and eventually war amongst nations.

With the world now at war, many nations lose their power and the Mishima Zaibatsu declares itself as an independent nation.

The Mishima Zaibatsu is intent on conquering the world with only G Corporation to stand in its way. People around the world see G Corporation as a savior and G Corporation offers a price on Jin Kazama to anyone that can bring him in alive.

Just as anyone could have expected, the announced for the 6th King of Iron Fist Tournament was under way.

Those that want to make a name for themselves, those that seek money, and those that want revenge. Many different ideals and goals gather while the Tekken 6 tournament is unveiled.

Many videos have been released, intros, gameplay and testing. They show characters that are returning and six new characters, Leo, Zafina, Miguel Caballero Rojo, Bob, Jack-6 and the boss Azazel. There will be 40 characters in total, all returning from Tekken: Dark Resurrection expect Jinpachi.

  • Animations have been changed for every character.
  • Players can be customised with item moves. Items to use in gameplay. Some confirmed are:
  • Bryan Fury using a shotgun.
  • Leo using a pistol.
  • Bruce Irvin summoning 5 chicks.
  • Marshall Law using nunchucks.
  • Anna Williams kicking off her high heels.
  • Rage System: if a character's health gets too low, their fists / paws will get inflamed and will produce bigger damage than usual to the other player.
  • Some stages are multi-tiered with new stage features and has daylight/nighttime transitions depending on stage.
  • This game introduces a new "bounce" system, after moves that knock the opponent down in juggles and they can not tech roll, a new “bounce” comes into play, extending a juggle possibilities.
  • Compared to previous games, Tekken 6 has an increased health bar; due to the new features stated above durastically depleting characters' health.
  • This game also features an online versus multiplayer mode.[2]
  • The customization system from Tekken 5 returns with improved options and more items.

Kunimitsu returning - rumours are strong that Kunimitsu will be returning in Tekken 6.
