[edit] Introduction

Ogre is the sub boss in Tekken 3. Ogre is the Aztec God of Fighting infused with mythical powers. Despite not being able to defy gravity during gameplay, Ogre can be seen doing this in animations shown both before Ogre fights an opponent and after Ogre defeats an opponent. Also, Ogre can absorb souls to increase its power (like it does to Heihachi Mishima, or Jin Kazama if Heihachi is the one that defeats Ogre in Tekken 3), depending on how strong the soul is. Heihachi Mishima was after Ogre to use its blood on himself, hoping to enhance the action of the Devil Gene.

[edit] Fighting Style

To see from whom Ogre got his individual moves from, please refere to his move lists.

Ogre's fighting style is mostly a combination of moves from other Tekken characters, who did not appear in Tekken 3. Anna Williams seems to be the sole exception. This is because she was not featured in the arcade version of game, thus justifying Ogre's use of her moves, however, why she is later feature in the console version is unknown. Because Ogre "stole" most of his techniques, he is the only character with no string-combo, other than Gon.

[edit] Trivia

  • In the Japanese version, Ogre is written as Toshin (闘神). "闘" means "fight" or "war", and "神" means "God". The Japanese call it "Ogre", too.
  • Ogre's bosses in the Tekken Force side game in Tekken 3 are (in order of appearance) King, Hwoarang, Jin Kazama, and Heihachi Mishima.
  • Ogre is thought to have attacked and killed Jun Kazama and other Tekken characters because those characters disappeared from the Tekken games and Ogre has some of their moves.
  • Ogre becomes a playable character in Tekken 3 after beating the game eight times.
  • Although Ogre can speak (what it is saying is unintelligible), True Ogre is incapable of speaking. It can only roar.

[edit] Story

Tekken 3 Ogre.

The God of Fighting... The legend of Native Americans says Ogre is the war weapon which creatures from outer space left on earth in ancient time. It understands entire structures of all living and artificial beings, and absorbs them. It wanders the earth in search of strong souls.

This is Ogre's semi-human form. This human-like creature uses the moves of several Tekken fighters. As True Ogre, Ogre's true form, Ogre can still use the moves that it had in its previous form, as well as some extra moves like flying and breathing fire.

[edit] Ending Animation "Awakening"

Ogre has successfully transformed into its true form, True Ogre, and bursts through the temple. Tekken Force helicopters try to contain him only to be destroyed. True Ogre roars as the temple burns behind him.

[edit] Pre-fight and Win Animations

[edit] Pre-fight Animations

Random: Ogre spins around towards the left side while in the air, and it descends afterwards.
Random: Ogre flies up into the air, with its arms spead out to its sides. Then, Ogre descends, and energy surrounds its arms for a moment.

[edit] Win Animations

1: Ogre flies straight up into the air slightly, and then it flies towards the screen, raising its right arm. During this, Ogre says something that sounds like "Osteobeastnik".
2: Ogre raises its arms into the air while saying something that sounds like "Mistokalaskumoluss".
3: Ogre puts its arms at its sides and sticks its chest out slightly. Ogre also looks up at the sky. During this, Ogre says something that sounds like "Osteobeastnik".
4: Ogre puts its arms at its sides and sticks its chest out slightly. Ogre also looks up at the sky. While doing this, Ogre says something that sounds like "Hanimbeastdilak".

Note: These also apply to Ogre in Tekken Tag Tournament.

Tekken Tag Tournament Ogre.

Ogre was featured as a playable character in Tekken Tag Tournament, a non-canonical Tekken game. This is Ogre's last appearance as a playable character.

[edit] Ending Animation

Ogre picks up an unconscious Jin Kazama with one hand. It holds him up and looks at him for a few seconds. Then, Ogre notices something, turns around, and drops Jin. It is revealed to be Unknown, who is shown without the wolf-like creature. Unknown stares at Ogre, and Ogre stares at Unknown. This ending takes place in Ogre's stage.

Note: A fight is probably about to happen, but this ending animation ends before showing anything else happening.
