Tackles

NB! This currently only applies for post-Tekken 3 games, as we haven't tested prior games sufficiently.

All characters have the ability to tackle an enemy during a run. The run has to be 11-18 steps and can tackle standing, ducking and back turned opponents. However, a few select characters can tackle from a standing possition via a move called Ultimate Tackle (Craig Marduk is an exception to both, but this will be explained later)

Standing Tackles

The following characters can initiate a tackle from a standing position.

#1: Follow-ups are not possible in Tekken 1, or if the opponent is BK in Tekken 2 or 3. Additionally, Yoshimitsu, Sergei Dragunov, and Craig Marduk cannot perform this move. Most female characters (as well as Eddy in Tekken 4, who is simply an alternate 'costume' for Christie) will slap instead of punching. In Tekken 2, only 2,1,2,1,2 is possible.
#2: Only King can follow up on this move.

#4: Only the first hit can be escaped.

Parries/Reversals

Some characters can perform a parry or attack reversal on a tackle and/or attacks within it.

Single punch reversal can be done by Paul, Craig and Dragunov by inputting 1,1,2 when back hits the floor.

Arm bar can be reversed by: King,Paul,Craig,Nina,Devil Jin and Dragunov by inputting the command 1+2,2,2,2,2 when tackled and inputting the same command once again.

Leg cross hold can be reversed by: King,Craig,Nina and Dragunov by inputting the command 1+2,1,1,1,1 when tackled and inputting the same command again.

Reversals are dependant on timing.
