Did I promote you to an admin? You've been doing a lot of good work on the site and I can make you one if you want. Samuel 19:29, 21 January 2013 (PST)

You didn't actually promote me yet, but yeah I do want to be an admin.

User:Toilethead101 7:41, 23 January 2013 (PHT)

Done! Samuel (talk) 06:48, 30 January 2013 (CET)

Re-deleting the pages, I wouldn't worry too much about the user pages, it doesn't really slow anything down having them. Anything profane or spammy should go. I've also upgraded the Captcha to force people to answer questions about Tekken before being able to contribute. Things like "Who does Law spar with?" which is a good litmus test on knowing if someone is a Tekken fan or not. Samuel (talk) 06:48, 30 January 2013 (CET)

Wow, now you're the admin, now I have to be afraid of you, right? :)
Hamachi (talk) 14:18, 30 January 2013 (CET)
Lol. I guess you could say that. Toilethead101 21:45 January 30 2013 (PHT)

Hello

Привет, I see that you have done a great and good work in this encyclopedia. You can if I have problems, I will turn to you for help?
Hamachi 04:35, 28 January 2013 (PST)

Actually most of my edits recently are just getting rid of spam, but I'm willing to help if you have a problem. Plus thanks for providing the links for the Tekken Card Tournament. Sorry I can't edit and fix the page due to the number spammers. Toilethead101 20:13 January 28 2013 (PHT)

No problem, I was surprised that for a long time on the home page was not TCT. I want to create a template, like in Wikipedia, in articles about the characters to make it easier to move from one article to another, and I have a problem with the transfer of this template to here. I'm not very good with wiki markup, and I'm sorry for my bad english, I'm just learning.
Hamachi 04:35, 28 January 2013 (PST)

That would actually make it easier to navigate through the series, but you'd better put this in Samuel's talk page. This kind of thing is out of my control. Toilethead 20:46 January 28 2013 (PHT)

Ладно, thanks.
Hamachi 04:55, 28 January 2013 (PST)

Little question, what languages have TekkenPedia? There is in Russian?
Hamachi 05:20, 28 January 2013 (PST)

I don't think Samuel made a Russian Tekkenpedia, but you'll need to translate everything yourself if Samuel makes one. Toilethead101 21:30 January 28 2013 (PHT)

Ok, but I then translate all the articles, and потом уже to create a Russian version. The fact that Russia has a lot of fans Tekken, and newcomers to the series wants to read about it and find out what is Tekken, and unfortunately in the Russian Wikipedia is not much information about him, but I'm working on it. Still, Wikipedia is still impossible to create a many separate articles about the characters, so I've been thinking about it.
Hamachi 05:46, 28 January 2013 (PST)

If that's the case just talk with Samuel about the matter. Toilethead101 21:56 January 28 2013 (PHT)

Okay. А Samuel is the creator of TekkenPedia?
Hamachi 05:59, 28 January 2013 (PST)

Yup he's basically our boss in the wiki. Toilethead101 22:05 January 28 2013 (PHT)

Wow. But be that as it may, I do not think that I'll have to try one in the Russian TekkenPedia. I have many friends who also love Tekken, and are willing to write about it, and the Russian Wikipedia I have many friends, some of them do not help me.
Hamachi 06:21, 28 January 2013 (PST)

Little Error

Hi again, I noticed some error with the pictures in the article on TCT.
Hamachi (talk) 14:30, 30 January 2013 (CET)

Yeah I also noticed the errors that occurred. It seems that a couple of the edits I made mysteriously disappeared as well. I'm guessing the mediawiki thing reverted any edit, account creation and file upload made near the time edits had to be stopped. Toilethead101 21:51 January 2013 (PHT)

This is bad. What do we do about this problem?
Hamachi (talk) 15:14, 30 January 2013 (CET)

Noticed roster of characters on the main page. I propose to add the other characters there Tekken: Azazel, Nancy-MI847J, Roger, Gon, Devil and others.
Hamachi (talk) 12:22, 31 January 2013 (CET)

All right I'll take it into consideration since Samuel already put Gon in the list. Toilethead101 20:45 January 31 2013

Thanks.
Hamachi (talk) 15:56, 31 January 2013 (CET)

Hello again

Why you deleted: "and wrestling (TTT2)" from article about Michelle Chang?
Hamachi (talk) 17:06, 27 February 2013 (CET)

There is no proof that Michelle actually likes wrestling, and simply having a luchadora mask and having a couple of grabs and suplexes doesn't automatically mean she likes to wrestle. Also the only reason why she became a luchadora in her ending was at the request of Julia and Michelle only put on Julia's mask because it looked cool. Toilethead101 06:18, February 28 2013 (PHT)

Okay, I can then write what she likes JayCee mask?
Hamachi (talk) 13:34, 1 March 2013 (CET)

That probably isn't necessary since the mask was only used once by Michelle. Toilethead101 21:31 March 1 2013 (PHT)

Okay. Can then change your mind.
Hamachi (talk) 14:59, 1 March 2013 (CET)

If there is more evidence to back up the claim then I'll consider it. {{User:toilethead101|Toilethead101]] 22:32 March 1 2013 (PHT)

Speaking of Michelle, how do you think it is possible to find it in a suit CG art wrestler?
Hamachi (talk) 15:35, 1 March 2013 (CET)

I don't think so since her luchadora outfit is a custom item. Toilethead101 23:12 March 1 2013 (PHT)

I mean its GC, appears on the scoreboard in her ending.
Screenshot 1332213443 728.jpg
Hamachi (talk) 14:57, 2 March 2013 (CET)

Oh Ok I'll help you find that art, but the chances of finding are pretty slim though. Toilethead101 9:01 March 3 2013 (PHT)

Well, I think to first look at official resources Tekken, such as the official website, Harada Twitter. Then you can poisakt a fan wiki's.
Hamachi (talk) 04:05, 3 March 2013 (CET)

Spam

Thanks for cleaning up those accounts. They're so freaking persistent. I've got it set now that you need to answer fairly complex character history questions to create an account (e.g. who is the father of Jin Kazama) and they're still getting through! Samuel (talk) 01:51, 2 April 2013 (CEST)

Try asking more complex questions like who is Tekken's director, what is the blue spark kick of Hwoarang called or ask them for things you can't normally find in this wiki that fans should now. Toilethead101 11:17 April 2 2013 (PHT)
Updated the questions, let see if it stops them for a while. I think people come to the wiki once, figure out the questions and feed them into their spam engine. 108.162.249.109 03:30, 5 April 2013 (CEST)

Hello, i'm back

I'm sorry that I was not so long, I have exams soon and I need to prepare for them. By the way, have you found that GC art? Now I plan to finish the articles about TCT, T3D and TTT2. Can I create in my personal space sandbox, where I will make Russian version of Tekken pedia, I then ask Samuel to create one single? And yet, as I'm not really good at English, you can check my edits in the article to correct mistakes if they are?
Hamachi (talk) 08:33, 10 May 2013 (CEST)

And what do you know about Tekken Revolution?
Hamachi (talk) 09:05, 10 May 2013 (CEST)
Hey, long time no see! I don't think Samuel will agree to make another language for tekkenpedia since he stopped all the other language versions of tekkenpedia mainly due to lack of translators. As for Tekken Revolution it's supposed to be some kind of unreleased spin-off found in an Australian site or something. Harada seems to have said however that "Tekken Revolution" is actually Tekken Card Tournament. Toilethead101 21:12 May 11 2013 (PHT)
Yes. Oh, this is bad, but I'll talk to him about it. Yes, I know that, except Harada said it TCT. By the way, do you know Japanese? And what's your ID in PSN?
Hamachi (talk) 18:18, 11 May 2013 (CEST)
I don't know Japanese. I also don't have a PSN account. Toilethead101 15:46 May 12 2013
Oh, bad.
Hamachi (talk) 15:25, 12 May 2013 (CEST)
My new article!
Hamachi (talk) 10:16, 18 May 2013 (CEST)
That's cool and all, but I'm sure you're using the wrong character template. Try using the template of Ho Chi Myong, I think it'd be a better choice as the Mokujin thing is Blood vengeance exclusive. Toilethead101. 21:45 May 18 2013 (PHT)
Oh, right. Completely confused, you need to use a template for non-playable character!
Hamachi (talk) 16:00, 18 May 2013 (CEST)
Template changed.

Tekken Revolution

New information about TR!!! This is a new Tekken, with new gameplay. Stage's will be from TTT2, and until eight characters: King II, Paul, Lili, Marshall, Asuka, Steve, Alisa and Lars. The game will be available on June 11 for download from the PSN (exclusive to PS3) and will be free-to-play. Teaser trailer.
Hamachi (talk) 15:28, 9 June 2013 (CEST)

Yup I heard, looks like the info I got was wrong. Anyway the effects seem like the ones they gave to the practice mode before a match TTT2 console. I think I'll check it more, plus you missed out Bryan, I think I saw him fighting Paul in the teaser. 8:01 June 10 2013 (PHT)
No, Bryan is not announced officially in the trailer, or indeed anywhere else. In the trailer, besides the above mentioned characters were still Kazuya and Jack-(?), But has not officially been announced as the main characters, maybe they will appear as DLS.
Hamachi (talk) 15:18, 10 June 2013 (CEST)
Really? I'll check again just in case, but I'm sure I saw Bryan using his d/f 3 on Paul. Toilethead101 22:00 June 10 2013 (PHT)

Core character

What exactly means a core character? And also where is the list that confirms those characters? I've only seen that Jin and Ryu are confirmed, but nobody else.

A core character is basically a character that has been in all installments of a game, or is incredibly important. Generally the story doesn't really need to be taken note of. There are tons of "core characters", but we usually pick the closest which are characters like Nina, Heihachi, Paul and Yoshimitsu. Toilethead101 19:02 12 August 2013 (PHT)

I get it. I was thinking that the core character means a character that has been in all games, but i wasn't sure. So i can understand why are those 4 reffered as core characters. But i was wondering why is Sagat in Street Fighter a core character? He wasn't present in all installments and also he's not that much important. He and Akuma have probabbly almost equal number of appearances in SF and to me he looks like a character that has much bigger role than him. That's why I added him but never mind. It's ok now. (But still he is very likely to appear and also Harada named him as one of his favourites.):)

Heh, I basically called them core characters because they'd been in all instalments of the game. Theirs no higher meaning to the term ;) Samuel (talk) 01:45, 13 August 2013 (CEST)
I actually consider guys like Jin and Hwoa as core characters, since they're pretty important or dynamic in story, but picking characters that appear in all installments would be safer. Toilethead101 08:33 13 August 2013 (PHT)
Yes, either way, we should define what the term means. I'm happy if you want to include characters that have substantial impact on the story line or characters that have featured in all instalments. Hmm, thinking about it though, I think we should remove the term altogether. We can mention directly on the characters page that they featured in all instalments and all characters have some impact on the storyline, how do you draw the line on what 'substantial' means? Samuel (talk) 01:16, 14 August 2013 (CEST)
They're EXTREMELY important to the story or provides twists or are characterized with someone important. For example: Jin is a Mishima, so he's important. Hwoa and Xiao provide twists and turns by involving Jin in their respective stories, so they usually follow Jin as well. Toilethead101 08:11 15 August 2013 (PHT)
I searched for the definition core character and I didn't found anything. But still, I guess that it means a character that has been in all installments or someone who is a staple character of the series. But I also thought that it can be a character that has been in most or nearly every part of the game or someone who has a great impact on main character's role. In that case, we can consider Hwoarang as a core character in Tekken, but then, so is, probabbly, Xiaoyu. IMO she and Hwoarang probabbly have the biggest impact on Jin's role, but that's just my opinion. Nevertheless, from SF cast, Gouki and Sagat will surely appear, since they have been in nearly every installment, and they both had a great impact on Ryu's role (being his greatest rivals) :)

Paul Phoenix voice

Hey admin, I think you're wrong about Paul Phoenix's voice actor in T3 and TTT(Keiji Fujiwara). Whenever I type Keiji Fujiwara Paul Phoenix, that role isn't credited to his name anywhere. Not in Imdb, not in Filmweb, not in Anisearch, not in Anime News Network, and not even on his Wikipedia article in both Japanese and English language. Even not on Japanese wikipedia for Tekken characters. Only on Behind the voice actors, but that's not always reliable source about who is voicng who. I don't know where they get that idea from. Eric Kelso voiced him from that installment until T6. In an interview that occured 2 years ago, one of the questions was in how many Tekken games has he been involved, and he said 5 or 6. That would be T3, TTT, T4, T5, T5;DR and T6. You can see it right here. thegamingliberty.com/2011/02/paul-phoenix-speaks-an-interview-with-eric-kelso/

Extravagant Underground

You write: "The stage is based on the real-life Russian Metro Underground Station." what this is station? You can show me photo or source from which this information has been taken? I just do not know any one metro station in Russia, which similar to Extravagant Underground.
Hamachi (talk) 17:14, 16 October 2013 (CEST)

I've found that the comparison between the stage and various real life pictures are actually quite similar. [2] Especially after the stage's wall is broken where the railing is similar to the real life thing. User:Toilethead101 06:47 17 October 2013
Oh, yes! This is stage very similar with Komsomolskaya station! Sorry for anxiety.

Spammers

Thanks removing those accounts. I've setup so many hoops to jump through and they still do it! You have to have a confirmed email AND answer a question about Tekken to start spamming. So annoying. Might be time to change the questions again as they seem to figure them out after a while... Samuel (talk) 01:37, 15 November 2013 (CET)

Heh, thanks for catching the latest wave of them. I'm not really sure what else I can do to block them. I can use Cloudflare but that prevents lots of legitimate users from getting to the site. Samuel (talk) 00:44, 27 October 2014 (UTC)
Nah, we can just change the questions monthly. I'm sure it would be hard for the spammers to consistently figure out. - Toilethead101 06:35, 28 October 2014 {PHT)

Dragon Fighting Jack

Hello. Browsing the encyclopedia, I found this article about Dragon Fighting Jack - a myth character allegedly from first Tekken. I corrected this article, but can you verify my changes (because I can make mistakes with English). And what I want to ask you: if this is a myth character, maybe need to delete this article?
Hamachi (talk) 14:21, 3 February 2014 (CET)

Here's a link regarding him[4]. "Dragon Fighting Jack" seemed to only be available through hacking into the original Tekken, it seems. Based on research, he seems to actually just be the Jack. Apparently, there was a mistranslation. A picture showing Law fighting Jack was accidentally translated to, "Dragon FIghting Jack", instead of "Law, fighting Jack". Our "Dragon Fighting Jack" is one of the characters who appear in the logo (He was a blue guy), but in actual gameplay, he was nowhere to be seen. Overall, I think "Dragon Fighting Jack" is more of a cut character than a myth. Toilethead101 07:45 4 February 2014 (PHT).
I was see this video, but watch closely: this is not "Dragon Fighting Jack", this is a blue version of 2P P. Jack costume. I trying to ask Harada-san about this, but he not responding.
Hamachi (talk) 02:19, 4 February 2014 (CET)
Dragon Fighting Jack=P.Jack-P2.png
See? The Jack from artwork and the Jack from video is not similar. But a few parts of "Dragon Fighting Jack" is much similar to P1 P.Jack costume.
PJackT1.JPG
Head, thigh and the last part of he's hand. What because I think what "Dragon Fighting Jack" is prototype of P. Jack. And see that video about Dragon Fighting Jack ([5]).
Hamachi (talk) 04:52, 4 February 2014 (CET)
I can see where you're going on this. It seems that the console's "Dragon Fighting Jack" seemed to be P.Jack. I'm guessing this mistake was made due to the coloring of P.Jack in the console's logo, added with the mistranslation and the fact that only P.Jack's head was sticking out on the console poster (he and the other rivals were supposed to be cut from the picture for some reason.). I still think it's a good idea to get more info from Harada, if he gives any. Also, I think the video was just someone who hacked into the game, and managed to color the characters differently (We see that kind of stuff tons of times.). Toilethead101 10:35 5 February 2014 (PHT)
Yes, I know, but Harada-san don't want to responding or something, and I don't know why. Maybe need to try again.
Hamachi (talk) 15:27, 5 February 2014 (CET)
All right, but based on our observations, so far, Dragon Fighting Jack is just P.Jack. Toilethead101 07:13 6 February 2014 (PHT)

No, I mean prologues from game. Do you have Street Fighter X Tekken? I need to find someone, who have these DLC characters and change language to russian, and create a photos of Lars and Alisa prologue with russian subtitles. I need this for russian article about Alisa.
Hamachi (talk) 03:30, 27 February 2014 (CET)

About Tekken 7

When I'm browsing web for info about Tekken 7, I finded this and this news articles with interesting info. How do you think, can we add some info from there to the article?

Well, it's too early to say, since there're no official backings from Namco yet. Lets wait it out until Comic ConToilethead101 04:59, 15 July 2014 (PHT)
I found a video of the Tekken 7 announced from EVO, where Harada with Murray talk about Tekken 7 announced. That confirms info in the first news article, that I found.

Someone posted about this on Facebook, Wonkey's post about this is already gone, and there is no official word from Namco.
Facebook? What is there? Please, give me link. And of course he deleted them, he says that he don't want to repeat the situation after leak of Josie, Jin and Devil Jin's pictures. And of course here is no official word from Namco, the same as in last leak with J.J.DJ. We didn't deleted those pictures then, why? And there's no much time before that Capcom's stream, so we could leave this information in article until that stream, maybe? What I want to say is that it not look just like a stupid joke or trolling.

The post seems to have been deleted, as with Wonkey's. Still, no actual evidence from Namco, so I think it's better to wait. Also, Josie, Jin and Devil Jin were different questions since there were actual renders of them, and no other members of the community are acknowledging it.

Devil Jin/Devil Gene

Jin was actually born with the Devil gene, as Kazuya was born with it before him. I know fans think that devil split himself from Kazuya and went to Jin but that is not the case. Of course Devil did lose (died) part of himself, only because Kazuya lost alot of blood due to his severe injuries in the volcano thus Devil nearly died.

It commonly thought that devil split himself from Kazuya and went to jin, because of the opening scene in tekken 3 where it shows a mysterious figure brand jin arm with that mark. Truely we don't know what that mark is or what it's relation is to the devil gene, it is just theorize to have a relation to the devil gene when we actually don't know. So because it was never truely explained how jin received the devil gene, fans such as ourselves had to try to figure things out in theory.

the Devil Gene is passed down to Kazuya through birth from Kazumi his mother, we know that the same goes for jin. Jin inherited the devil gene from Kazuya hince the word "gene" something that can only be passed down through a bloodline.

So with this info, I think that we should change devil jin article back to the way it was or re edited in the same way you did with the info above. --Teriko (talk) 15:52, 26 August 2015 (UTC)

Oh, thanks, Hamachi; hope you'll get a great new year too.

Email address

Hey, can you send an email to me ([email protected]) so I have your email? I've been neglecting the site for too long and considering you've been the most active user in the past few years, I thought maybe you would like to take ownership of it? I'd rather see somebody look after it and build the community rather than letting it go for the past few years like I have.

I can try, but I've never managed a site to this large an extent before.

Hi there!

Long time no see! Sorry for my too long absence, I had work in other wikis. Well, actually I still have. Never mind. So, there's a few things I would like to show you. First, I managed to finally find that Kazuya's first Tekken 7' CG-art in full size. So, here it is:

I know, it is not in the best resolution, but still it's pretty good finding, I think.

Second: I started to remade TekkenpediaRussia theme. Could you say a word or two regarding of what you think about it? It would be a good feedback to me, I guess.

P.S. Congrats with site's ownership!

Been a while. Nice find there; haven't been able to do much with my studies coming in. As for ownership of the site, I actually turned it down; I don't think I'd be responsible enough, so everything's still the same; I'm just an admin while Samuel attends to more personal things and is still the owner. The theme seems interesting, though I can't understand most of it.
I'm still around if you need anything guys, just ping me on my talk page and I get an email :)
