RaiJinX's Hypothesis[edit]

Hwoarang probably entered Tekken 6 to beat Jin and be cool. --Sakura 09:36, 22 September 2007 (PDT)

Yeah, that's most likely going to be his story. JunKazamaFan 08:47, 23 September 2007 (PDT)

He may want to save his rival's soul or try to convince him to come back to like the old days.--Cojin 12:27, 23 September 2007 (PDT)

Why? Hwoarang doesn't like Jin. JunKazamaFan 13:19, 23 September 2007 (PDT)

Yeah he does look at his Tekken 4 ending they both smiled at each other symbolizing some sort of friendship.--Cojin 13:46, 23 September 2007 (PDT)

Oh, yeah. I forgot about that. Well, I guess they do have some sort of friendship. Your thoughts about Hwoarang's Tekken 6 story could possibly be true. We'll just have to wait and see. JunKazamaFan 15:08, 23 September 2007 (PDT)
::off topic:: Funny how you say "wait and see," since that's a song by Utada Hikaru. ::on topic:: Yeah, maybe he will do all that. --RaiJinX
Oh, yeah. It is kind of funny. Yeah, Hwoarang might do all of that in Tekken 6. JunKazamaFan 14:29, 24 September 2007 (PDT)
lol --Sakura 14:38, 24 September 2007 (PDT)

Um...yeah..[edit]

So, did Jin technically cheat against Hwoarang? XD --Rai

No. Same thing as with Tekken 3, against Ogre.
Ok. --RaiJinX

Now if i read more articles , I would have known since november that "Devil Jin" was behind the winning , the early result of the match was mind numbing 4 me ALLmasked 1/16/2008

But think about how Jin cannot fight with emotion because otherwise he loses control to Devil Jin, so he can't enjoy the fight or use power that can be derived from emotion, so Jin is at an automatic disadvantage to any others.

And when was that ever stated..?

It wasn't, it was more a hypothesis, but once or twice Jin says I cannot be swayed by emotion, and Jinpachi was setting the Devil gene off so Jin was losing his mentality so he couldn't give in to impulses like anger, hate etc.

"I cannot be swayed by emoion" would usually mean "I am not able be controlled by the influence of emotion", a longwinded way of saying "I don't care about anything". If you want the context of your hypothesis to be true, he would probably have said something like "I must/may not give in to emotion". I'm not saying your hypothesis is wrong, I'm just saying that basing it on an ambiguous statement isn't the best way to go about it.

Hwoarang in Tekken 6[edit]

So in recent videos, it seems Hwoarang has more attacks that involve using hands. He has changed pretty much eh? Wonder if this change will be critical or not. I personally like it. Jaewonnie 20:33, 21 March 2008 (PDT)

Tekken: Army of Two[edit]

Is there substantial evidence that this exists?

LOCK Dunno if this is stated somewhere but shouldnt it be noted that if i'm correct Hwoarang is the only person ever to defeat JIN, ok yeah beaten after by the devil in him but not even kaz or heihachi have managed this?

Tekken 4 Hwoarang ending[edit]

In the Tekken 4 ending, Jin and Hwoarang both speak English, which is odd because everywhere else, Jin speaks Japanese and Hwoarang speaks Korean. In the Tekken 5 ending, Hwoarang sounds American to me.
Why is this?

Who knows? They were probably still only experimenting with VAs at that stage

Origin[edit]

Hey,

I would be so interested to know where Hwoarang comes from anyway?

Yes, he is Korean, at least a half Korean. Because he has a red hair, I ask myself what is the other half.

So far, not much is known about his background.

I ask this out of pure interest. Maybe you have pleasure to discuss with me about it or to speculate?

Thanks in advance.

Rodrigo

Though I dislike this character, I'll answer your question. Namco is known to portray their Korean characters with red hair like Yunsung from Soul Calibur. Plus they also make their Tekken and Soul Calibur characters resemble. Like Seong Mina and Julia Chang or Raphael and Lee Chaolan. Hope that helps. -- User:YouriKamachii

Yes, that's right. But I think that these characters you've already listed some of them have a different origin. Which is unfortunately not mentioned. Too bad.

Thanks for your answer.

I always thought his hair was just dyed (note that one of his Tekken 5 customisations actually was dyed/bleached hair, although the customised hair doesn't fit with Hwoarang's style). In a similar manner, Kunimitsu's hair is pink (with the exception of the Tekken Tag in-game models). Without unusual hair, where would Tekken be anyway? There isn't a game in the whole series which doesn't have unusual hair styles! :)

Differences of Hwoarang's flamingo stances[edit]

Hwoarang takes the fight to himself since Tekken 5, he was defeated by Devil Jin. A person who you know Jin Kazama, was possessed by the devil gene as he transformed into a devil. After Devil Jin threw him which causes a lot of damage, Hwoarang goes to the hospital to take recovery from that attack. Hwoarang is still training to defeat Devil Jin and take his revenge for it, but he stills don't like him. Differences of Hwoarang's flamingo stances: Left flamingo and right flamingo stances.(1) We'll start with left flamingo stance, which is easy. To do that the term flamingo might be determined if a person left foot is raised up and turns to the right direction (Left flamingo:1,2,3) or (2) be determined if he raises is right foot up and turns to the left direction (Right flamingo stance:1,2,4).One way for both flamingo stances:(1) Left flamingo stances: 1,2,3.(2) Right flamingo stance:1,2,4. That's all people, if you want to do a technique during one of both flamingo stances, please go to the Tekkenzaibatsu.com and search for commands(his command list) during both flamingo stances. I hoped you like it people! Good bye!

Unblockable[edit]

Hey guys I need your advice on this topic. I'm planning to add a new section on Hwoa's page regarding the original Tekken Tag 2. As many of you should remember, in the pre-Unlimited Tekken Tag Tournament 2 many Hwoarang players used his "Power Blast" during a combo, and the end result was a simple combo that took out 50-70% of the health of the opponent WITHOUT the use of a wall. This became one of the most major nerfs in the history of Tekken as this move not only forced developers to revamp the move by toning down it's damage and changing it's properties, but it also forced them to revamp the tag assault system. Guys should I make a section in the page regarding this? Toilethead101 17:41 20 July 2013 (PHT)
