A little strange for a tekken character[edit]

  • I dont think the name 'Bob' would be good on tekken. I am not being offensive but don't you think that he is weird? User:Tekken-rules2007 15:54, 31 August 2007 (BXZ)
I think they could have give If he's just a large-knock off then that won't be cool. --Sakura 07:07, 1 September 2007 (PDT)
You're right. It won't be cool if that is the case. I don't want him to fight like Mokujin, Tetsujin, Unknown, and Combot (people are speculating about this on forums such as the Tekken Zaibatsu and GameSpot forums). I highly doubt that this is the case, but I just thought that I would mention it. JunKazamaFan 10:45, 2 September 2007 (PDT)
But since he's supposed to be a genius, maybe he'll have a mix of all the characters' styles (which is sometimes pretty cool). --RaiJinX
Like Ogre / True Ogre? Yeah, they were pretty fun to use. By the way, I've seen some videos of Bob fighting on YouTube. He actually looks like he'll be fun to use. I don't really see much of him mimicking anybody (in fact, I don't recall ever seeing him mimic anybody). The closest I saw was seeing him use a move similar to the "Double Hammer" move used by the Jacks, but many characters have a move or some moves that look similar to a move or moves used by other characters. If you want to see Bob fighting, look at some of "geesendou"'s YouTube videos ([1]). JunKazamaFan 14:15, 15 September 2007 (PDT)
Cross your fingers and hope. --RaiJinX
I will. I hope there is a mimic character in Tekken 6. I just don't want one of the new characters to be a mimic character (unless it's Combot II). JunKazamaFan 18:08, 16 September 2007 (PDT)
GO COMBOT!!! --RJX
I'd like to point out that Bob doesn't have a character space on the palette yet??If you look at the screencaps from the Tekken 6 page there is no Bob.??

Occupation[edit]

Should we put that Bob's a Martial Artist? --Sakura 09:34, 2 September 2007 (PDT)

Yes, we should. I think we should say that it's been stated that he's a martial arts genius, as well. JunKazamaFan 10:01, 2 September 2007 (PDT)
Ok. Good idea. --Sakura 11:13, 2 September 2007 (PDT)
Ehh... the first line? Additionally, martial artist is a much to broad term to use here, as it applies to all the playable Tekken characters. --Hecko 03:33, 3 September 2007 (PDT)
I see what you mean, but in this case, he has no other job (other than fighting for people's entertainment). People like Lei Wulong and Nina Williams have different occupations other than being Martial Artists (Lei being a supercop and Nina being an assassin). See what I mean? --RaiJinX
Well, if he makes money off of it, I can see how it fits. However, as for Lei's case, he's just a cop, "supercop" is a tabloid nickname. --Hecko 03:51, 4 September 2007 (PDT)
Oh, yeah. That's true. --Sakura 15:04, 4 September 2007 (PDT)

Bob so don't Mokujin[edit]

Now, sdtekken upload images of a show of tekken 6 in somewhere. An image shows Bob with Kuma's stance. Also, he has in his tekken 6 image the Tekken 5 Jin's stance. In other photo he do a Xiaoyu move. So, it's not suficiente test to say "Bob's fighting style: Mimic style" or something like this?

If that's the case then I guess that must be correct (since he is a 'Martial Arts genius' and all, right?). --RaiJinX
With the exception of Bob in Jin's Tekken 5 stance, I can't find anything resembling the other two images. As mentioned above, I have seen Bob fight. He doesn't really look like a "mimic" character to me. JunKazamaFan 14:21, 15 September 2007 (PDT)
Oh. Ok, then. --Thunder to the Jin to the X

Bob's Height[edit]

It was never stated but he towers over a lot of tekken fighters. Should we say " apporox 6'5"+? 72.165.115.67 08:40, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

One thing I learned from Tekken is that they ALWAYS exaggerate. Take King II for instance, he is too big for a Mexican or for any nationality for that matter but his profile says that he stands 6ft. & 7in. and weighs 198lbs. Now that's a big discrepancy! Another is Paul's hair, that another sign of exaggeration. I think the Tekken developers made Bob big so that he would appear on screen with perfect details. Take note of his movie ending he could've not stand more than 6ft but in the intro movie he looks taller, now there's another discrepancy. Tekken always exaggerates!! We should stick to the story. So when I think of him I see an obese Chuck Norris and that puts my mind at ease. Jbritp 15:14, 19 December 2009 (EDT)
There is no set height that everyone within a nationality HAS to be within, so your example with King is pointless and stupid. There are always gonna be people that are outside the norm. For instance, the average height of Danish men is 180cm, yet I have several Danish friends that are just below or just about 200cm. The average height of Serbian men is about 180cm as well, yet my cousin is about 210cm. On average, Chinese men are among the shortest in the world, yet the tallest man alive today is also Chinese. There's nothing wrong with King's height; I suggest you get over it :/
As for Bob, his height will probably be revealed in the T6 Perfect Guide that comes out in Japan next month, so just hang tight until then. --Hecko 10:24, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
Hecko what if Bob's height is "approx" 6'5", it is common sense that he should have a weight that corresponds to his height since he is competing professionally. Plus what stuff can you see in a Tekken Perfect Guide? It'll be my first time reading one.
The approx height of 6'5" is fan speculation based on little to nothing. What you should do is ignore it as such. The T6 Perfect Guide will feature commands, names, and frame data for all the characters' moves in T6. I think it also has a bio with data for each character, but I'm not entirely sure. --Hecko 13:33, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
Of course there will an English copy, right? Thanks dude!!
I doubt it. It's most likely gonna be Jap only. --Hecko 01:06, 22 December 2009 (UTC)

Don't think so. Tekken hasn't given the heights of characters after Tekken 3. I mean where the source that Feng Wei is 6'1" and Steve Fox 6'? But yes I would say Bob is 6'5" if I had to guess. 24.23.137.159 06:40, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

The art books..? --Hecko 11:03, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

My bad I mean the instruction booklet. Like they don't say how tall they are after Tekken 4. Just Age and Nationality. 24.23.137.159 07:07, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

In Bob's Tekken 6 ending, on a newspaper, his full name is given, but it only says "Robert Rich". Where is Richards coming from?

I think Harada has confirmed that his name is Robert Richards.

Okay. Well, is there a link to his confirmation?

No im just assuming, lol.

If Harada didn't announce it, it might be fan made, but on the Tekken Wiki it also says his name is Robert Richards. [2]]

Considering that the Tekken Wiki gets like 90% of their info from here (conjecture on my part), it's not valid as a second source. Also, the name is from the T6 concept art book. --Hecko 05:48, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
