About me[edit]

Hey guys! Well, I first got into Tekken on Christmas 1998. My much older cousin got a Playstation and a copy of Tekken 3. He invited me upstairs to play the game after he set the console up. I went upstairs thinking “Sigh, okay I guess I’ll play it for a little bit…” and I ended up playing it all day.

I still remember my first match like it was yesterday – it was a vs match against my cousin. He chose Paul and I picked King or “The man with a leopard head”. And I won, barely. Over the years, our skills would continue to evolve and we gained two favorite characters. Mine was Forest Law and his was Lei Wulong. During 1999 he would thrash me using Lei constantly. After my uncle gave me his Playstation (after he had purchased a PS2) I went under a severe, game-wise, training regime. I got much better. When Marc came for a visit I was ready. I beat him 3-0.

I’ve continued to be a massive fan of the series since. I’ve purchased every Tekken game available.

I have studied the martial art known as Lau Gar. I now train with my own style and techniques.

I love to draw and have done so for many years. I used to color in manually with pencils or felt tip pens, but have recently started coloring in on Photoshop.

Trivia[edit]

  • Nick is often spelled as "Nikku". Nikku is his Japanese name. He was referred to as Nick in Tekken 3 and Tag, but from Tekken 4 onwards he was called Nikku.
  • It has been confirmed by Namco that King is on very good terms with Nikku, what with Nikku being so young and all. Furthermore, once King found out that Nikku was an orphan, it strengthened their friendly relationship.
  • Was seen in Ganryu's Tekken 5 ending, he was sitting on the boat in the wide shot near the end.
  • In Tekken 5 it is possible to make Nikku look like Son Goku from Dragonball Z.
  • In the Tekken 5 intro, Nikku was seen fighting Mokujin.
  • Nikku's item move in Tekken 6 is an aura, similar to those featured in Dragonball Z. The aura knocks the opponent away if timed right.
  • In Tekken 4, Nikku spoke in English during gameplay segments and in Japanese during his ending. In Tekken 5, Nikku speaks with his American accent. It has also been hinted at that he is multi-lingual.
  • Nikku gained a comical new win pose in Tekken 5; he leans forward and taunts his opponent once, then again and then tries it a third time, but gets struck in the face. He holds his nose and complains "This is getting to be no fun!"
  • His sister Amy has never been seen in a Tekken game, only mentioned in his prologues.
  • Nikku's sub boss in Tekken Tag is either Forest Law or Ling Xiaoyu. In Tekken 5 they are Marshall Law and Asuka Kazama.
  • Nikku is the youngest (human) character in the Tekken series as he was only 13 years old when he entered Tekken 3.
  • The complicated flip move that Nikku tries to perform in his Tekken 3 ending became usable from Tekken Tag onwards. With each passing game, he gets a little better at it. It has been confirmed that in Tekken 6, he has finally mastered the move and no longer falls down after performing it.
  • Nikku is the fastest character in Tekken 3, Tag, 4 and 5.
  • The last shot of Nikku's Tekken 3 ending has the screen turn into a detailed painting. This technique would later be used again in Steve Fox's Tekken 5/DR ending.
  • Nikku's stage is the Cougar Dojo.
  • The music that is used for the Practice Mode in Tekken Dark Resurrection is the song used in Nikku's Tekken 3 ending, only remixed.
  • It has been strongly hinted at (though not confirmed) that Nikku is in love with Ling Xiaoyu. This is evident in the facts that he enjoys the hug Xiaoyu gives him in his Tekken 4 ending, his special intro pose with her in Tekken Tag and the fact that his reason for entering Tekken 6 is to "protect her".

Character relationships[edit]

  • Friends (Possible best friends) with Forest Law.
  • Friend of Ling Xiaoyu who he's strongly hinted to have a crush on.
  • Friend and possible rival of Asuka Kazama, who he's also hinted to have a crush on.
  • Was invited to train with Paul Phoenix, Marshall Law and Steve Fox.
  • Friend of Marshall Law and (possibly) Paul Phoenix and Steve Fox.
  • Was seen in a promotional Tekken 3 FMV render with Gon.

Romantic Relationships with the Tekken girls?[edit]

There has been much fan speculation as to wether Nick is in love with or at least has a crush on one of his fellow competitors in the King of Iron Fist Tournament. His Tekken 4 ending indicates that he has feelings for Ling Xiaoyu. In Tekken Tag, he had a few special tag moves with her when they were on the same team. She was also featured in his secret Tekken Tag ending. Nick was also hidden on the character select screen in Tekken 3. You had to move the cursor over Xiaoyu and then press left (or up in the Japanese version) to get to Nick.

However, once Tekken 5 came along, fans immediately began pairing Nick up with Asuka Kazama in many fanfics and much fanart. This is probably due to the fact that Asuka is clearly seen blushing and smiling for a split second after she has punched Nick in his ending, she quickly hides it by turning around and stomping off. Further more, if one listens to the voices in the background you can hear a guy say (in Japanese) "Wow, he sure got dumped in style!" showing that at least one person in the arcade saw them as a couple.

Story[edit]

Tekken 3[edit]

Gallery - Outfit

The Raven Haired Speedster. Nick and his sister Amy lost their parents when they were very young, leaving the elder sibling to look after Nick. One day, Nick found Amy practicing her martial arts. Intrigued with what he saw, Nick walked right up to her and nearly got kicked right in the face. However, Amy had great control and stopped her foot a half an inch away from Nick's face. Thinking that the time was right to start teaching him martial arts, Amy trained Nick from that day forward. She would also tell him stories of the long passed Tekken Tournaments. Although she had never fought in a King of Iron Fist tournament before, she told Nick all that she knew. Ironically, a few days after hearing about the tournaments and the Mishima Zaibatsu, Nick happened across a flier advertising a third tournament. Deciding to enter to impress his big sister, Nick prepares for the fight of his life!

Ending[edit]

Nick is shown in his stage (Couger Dojo). The ending is a montage of various training methods. Nick does his kata, weight trains until he gets too cocky and throws a weight into the air with it falling and landing on his head and he also practices a special complicated flip move. Throughout the ending, Nick tries and fails to perform the move until finally doing it. He smiles at the camera and walks toward the dojo door as the last frame turns into a detailed painting.

Tekken Tag[edit]

Nick is a playable character in Tekken Tag Tournament, however the game has no storyline and is not canonical to the Tekken series.

Tekken 4[edit]

Gallery - Outfit

It has been 2 years since the last King of Iron Fist tournament. 2 years since Nikku last saw his good friends Forest Law and Ling Xiaoyu. Days passed slowly as he wondered if he would ever see them again and if he would ever be in another exciting Tekken Tournament in the future. With his sister Amy away on a college course, Nikku was alone and all he found himself doing was training in the dojo near his home. Day after day, Nikku trained, trying to perfect his fighting style with each moment. Some time after Amy had left for her exams, Nikku happened upon a scrunched up piece of paper discarded on one of the desks in the Cougar Dojo. To his amazement, it was none other than a flier advertising the King of Iron Fist tournament 4. His eyes lit up. Nikku used the remaining time left before the tournament training himself to breaking point and then set of for his second Tekken. He set off to meet his friends once again.

Ending[edit]

Nikku is in the airport stage and is getting ready to board the plane for home when he hears a familiar voice behind him - Xiaoyu. She runs up to him and tells him that he fought really well in the tournament. Nikku says the same about her and they share a hug which Nikku seems to rather enjoy. After the hug, Xiaoyu says that she'll be seeing him at the next tournament and Nikku confirms this fact, saying that he won't be missing it. He boards the plane and it takes off with Xiaoyu waving goodbye.

Tekken 5[edit]

Gallery - Outfit

Nikku had entered the 4th King of Iron Fist tournament in order to meet up with Forest law and Ling Xiaoyu again after a 2 year long separation from them. Although he was able to catch up on old times with Xiaoyu, Nikku was disappointed that Forest had chosen not to participate as well, however he gained a new friend in Forest's father Marshall Law. A few days after returning home, Nikku was shocked to hear rumours that Heihachi Mishima had been killed and after a few minutes worth of searching, found that it was indeed true. Strangely enough, a new King of Iron Fist tournament was announced merely months after the 4th one had come to its conclusion. Nikku decided to enter in order to try and find out who or what killed Heihachi and to meet up with Law and Xiaoyu again. Deja vu struck Nikku as he found himself traveling to the tournament to meet up with old friends once more.

Ending[edit]

Nikku and Asuka are in an arcade in Japan, they are playing a fighting game called 'Burning Fist', probably due to Nikku's comment to her in his story mode that they should challenge each other at something other than sparring. Nikku's fighter trounces Asuka's with a perfect and the score sheet is shown on screen. Nikku has beaten her 99-0! Asuka is shown getting very angry as Nikku gives her pointers and she finally uppercuts him, sending him flying upwards and then crashing into the ground. She smiles and blushes at him, but very quickly hides it and storms out of the arcade, leaving Nikku to wonder aloud "What was that all about!?"

Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection[edit]

Gallery - Outfit

Nikku's storyline between Tekken 5 and Tekken 5: Dark Ressurection is unchanged.

Tekken 6[edit]

Gallery - Outfit

Nikku found out from Marshall Law during the 5th King of Iron Fist tournament that Forest was in the hospital due to a road accident he caused. Nikku did his best to win money in the tournament in order to pay off the damages caused by Law junior, however, he could not obtain enough. Upon returning home, Nikku found many countries at war with each other. He grew quite concerned when he learned that the perpatrator was none other than Jin Kazama. Nikku knew that his friend Ling Xiaoyu would be entering the tournament in order to try and stop Jin, so Nikku decided to enter himself in order to keep an eye on her. Merely a week after deciding to enter the newly announced 6th King of Iron Fist tournament, Nikku got a call from his friend Marshall Law asking him to come and train with himself, Paul Phoenix and the renowned boxer Steve Fox. Nikku, knowing that he would become stronger and could better protect Xiaoyu, accepted...

Endings[edit]

Tekken 3 - Nick trains in a small dojo, hitting a punching bag and practicing his kata. Throughout the ending, he is frequently seen trying to perform a complicated flipping attack. He fails several times before barley managing to perform it. He shrugs/smiles at the camera and leaves the dojo as the last shot of the ending turns into a detailed painting.

Tekken 4 - Nikku is about to leave the tournament after it is over. Ling Xiaoyu comes running up to him. She says that he fought really well and that she hopes to see him at the next King of Iron Fist Tournament. Nikku says that he'll be there and she gives him a hug. After that they part ways.

Tekken 5 - Nikku and Asuka are playing a fighting game at an arcade. Asuka's fighter loses as the score is shown on screen. Nikku has beaten her 99-0. Angered, Asuka uppercuts Nikku, sending him spiraling onto the floor. She stomps away as Nikku recovers from the punch, wondering "What was that all about!?".

(Note - This is one of the few Tekken 5 endings which does not show Jinpachi's death)

Tekken 6 - Nikku is with Marshall, Paul and Steve and bids them farewell at the airport. Right after the trio leave, Nikku is located by Asuka Kazama, who comes running up to him. Although Nikku is happy to see her, she tells him that she's "gonna get some revenge!" smiling menacingly. We then imediately cut to the nearby arcade where both are playing the sequel to the fighting game they played in his Tekken 5 ending. Once again, Nikku beats her 99-0 and once again, she throws a punch at him, but this time, Nikku blocks the attack! Asuka then throws a flurry of attacks at Nikku who blocks and evades them all. She begins forcing him out of the arcade and into the street outside. The camera then focuses on a close up of the both of them, smiling at each other.

Tekken Tag Team Ups[edit]

Pre-Fight:

Partnered with Law - Both will bow and then sink into fighting stances.

Partnered with Xiaoyu - She'll have a hand on his shoulder, trying to look at his face, as he scratches the back of his head.

Fight lost:

Partnered with Law - Law will be helping Nikku to stand.

Partnered with Xiaoyu - Xiaoyu will be keeled over and Nikku will be checking up on her.

How I hope Tekken 6 will turn out[edit]

This is a rough prediction of how I think Tekken 6 should turn out:

Okay, Kazuya fights his way to Jin furiously and upon seeing him in person, transforms to Devil Kazuya. Seeing his devil father triggers Jin's devil transformation as well. The battle is climactic and the two end up at Azazel's chamber. Devil Kazuya knocks Jin against a large ice shard and the shard shatters revealing..... the captive Jun Kazama! Turns out that Azazel and Ogre were brothers or related/connected in one way or another and that Ogre trapped Jun in this chamber shortly after he attacked her 4 years before Tekken 3. Seeing her alive puts Devil Jin in a shocked state, unable to do anything. The ice shard breaking makes Jun wake up and she quickly heals Devil Jin who has started hugging her with tears in his eyes.

Now that Jin is back to normal, the two of them team up to take on Devil Kazuya. After he is defeated, Jun concentrates and finally heals Kazuya of his Devil Gene making him good, but with his bad attitude. But their work is not yet done, as Azazel bursts into the chamber. He is taken down by the combined efforts of the family. With that done and dusted, the three of them return home (the place where Ogre attacked Jun before Tekken 3). The removal of the Devil Gene has turned Kazuya back into a somewhat anti hero and he grows to respect Jin somewhat. The three of them rebuild the house.

Meanwhile, Heihachi laughs as he declares "It's all mine again!!" having finally reclaimed his Mishima Zaibatsu. He states that he'll never lose it again and that it will become bigger and better than ever before, after which he notices Azazel's dead body and smiles. The team of Paul, Marshall and Steve is enough to win enough money to pay off their debts and Forest's medical bills and damages. Marshall declares that he can "finally retire from these King of Iron Fist Tournaments" and says that if there is another one, that his son can fight instead of him. King and Marduk discover that the new Armor King that attacked Marduk IS the real Armor King, who is angry at King for befriending the one that attacked him and put him in a coma. He leaves before they can question him further, will he be at the next tournament? It also turns out that somebody rigged it so that Armor King appeared to be dead and moved his body around to create even more mysteries... but who?

Before leaving for home, Jin is once again challenged by Hwoarang. The two once again fight to a draw and Hwoarang declares that he'll definitely beat his rival once and for all at the next tournament. Hwoarang pleads for Baek to train him like there's no tomorrow! Asuka and Lili fight again with Asuka winning for a second time. Hearing Lili's story, she promises to get the money to save her father's oil fields. Bryan is taken down by the combined efforts of Yoshimitsu and Lei Wulong. In return for helping him, Yoshimitsu helps Lei against Feng Wei. Feng is arrested, but breaks out of jail after having broken the bars of the cell and leaving several policemen hospitalized. Ganryu gets some prize money and is able to promote his restaurant. He is unsurprisingly overjoyed when Julia Chang comes to eat at his restaurant after a hard day of fighting in the tournament.

Xiaoyu, upset that she couldn't help out, gets ready to leave the tournament, but is persuaded by Panda to keep going and do her best. Xiaoyu does surprisingly well in the King of Iron Fist Tournament 6.

Well, that’s all I've got so far. Tell me what you think in my talk page!

Questions I have[edit]

  • How can Steve roll the bowling ball with his boxing gloves on?
  • Why does Xiaoyu say "Looks like I'm in for a fight!" worriedly, despite the fact that she entered a FIGHTING tournament?
  • Why couldn't I be Jin in Asuka's Tekken 5 ending??
  • "Can I fall down now?" (when getting juggled in Tekken 5/DR)
  • Where the hell did Forest go!?
  • When will there be a Tekken Tag 2?
  • Why does Julia keep using that super cheap elbow juggle on me?
  • Why in the world did King befriend Marduk??
  • What exactly was that thing that Ogre held up in Tekken 3? I really hope it wasn't Jun's head...
  • Why are Xiaoyu, Asuka and Lili so distractingly beautiful?
  • In Tekken 5's Cutomisation Mode, why are Xiaoyu's shorts called tights? Am I missing something?
  • When are we going to get Devil Kazuya vs Devil Jin?
  • On Tekkenpedia, why are most of my edits removed for no reason?

Top 10 favorite Tekken characters[edit]

  • Forest Law (I played as him all the time in Tekken 3 and Tekken Tag and was upset when he didn't return.)
  • Lei Wulong (Supercop! Jackie Chan! Great moves and an overall great character)
  • Ling Xiaoyu (My first and most favorite Tekken girl. I had such a crush on her when I was younger)
  • Asuka Kazama (Great design and attitude. I love playing as her. She's cute too)
  • Lili Rochefort (Very beautiful and so graceful with her moves)
  • Kazuya Mishima (The ultimate anti-hero... I think. His ending made me feel all better after the struggle with Jinpachi in Tekken 5)
  • Lee Chaolan (He has the Infinity Kick! And that Hitman Stance! And who could forget his "Cahm Oun!")
  • Steve Fox (The ONLY new character introduced in Tekken 4 that I actually liked. He's a bit tricky for me to use though...)
  • King II (My first favorite character. He's still special to me)
  • Hwoarang (I was kind of running out of favorite characters here, so I put the Korean Kicker. He's cool and has great moves)

Characters I don't like[edit]

  • Marduk - Big, ugly, killed Armor King (Possibly) and his chest hair is NOT a pretty site.
  • Christie - Replaced Eddy, didn't play as good as Eddy, interupted Eddy's more interesting story and seems to have been put in to increase the series' sex appeal.
  • Jinpachi - Just play the final battle of any character's story mode in Tekken 5.
  • Combot - Replaced Mokujin.
  • Ogre - Supposedly killed Jun, only has like one original move.

Favorite Tekken to least favorite[edit]

  • Tekken Tag
  • Tekken 3
  • Tekken Dark Resurrection
  • Tekken 2
  • Tekken 4
  • Tekken
  • Tekken Advance
  • Tekken 5

Still awaiting Tekken 6

Top 10 Tekken endings[edit]

  • Forest Law (Tekken Tag)
  • Tiger Jackson (Tekken 3)
  • Lei Wulong (Tekken Tag)
  • Forest Law (Tekken 3)
  • Marshall Law (Tekken 4)
  • Kuma/Panda (Tekken 5)
  • Mokujin (Tekken 3)
  • Hwoarang (Tekken 4)
  • Ling Xiaoyu (Tekken 3)
  • Kazuya Mishima (Tekken 5)

Miharu Hirano![edit]

Hey, I don't know about you but I'd really like Miharu to return in a future Tekken game! Not as an alternate skin for Xiaoyu but a proper character with her own character select screen picture, customisation items and ending. Have her play like Xiaoyu but with differing moves like the various Mishima's in Tekken - they share some moves, but those shared moves look different. I really like Miharu, her voice was so cute and squeaky and high pitched! I also always crack a smile whenever I fight that Asuka Kazama called 'Miharu Hirano' in Dark Resurrection. Also, her item move could have her throwing her college entrance exams at her opponent whilst saying something along the lines of "I flunked these exams and you'll flunk the fight!!" This move would stun the opponent. So yeah, here's hoping that we see Miharu in a future Tekken game!

Nick's awful Tekken joke[edit]

Nick - Hey Forest!

Forest - Yo Nikku!

Nick - *Holds up a bottle of water* Would you like some WATAAAH?

Forest - ..........

The Tekken Pattern[edit]

I’ve noticed a little something that always seems to happen. Every Sony console I get, a Tekken game is the first game I get for it. And that Tekken game is always Platinum (UK’s version of Greatest Hits). Happens every time.

What I think of the Tekken 6 CG art[edit]

Well, everyone else seemed to be rating and giving their opinions on the Tekken 6 CG art and I wanted to do it too!

He looks angry here! This was actually the first ever Tekken 6 CG art I ever saw! 4/5

Hwoarang[edit]
Hwoarang (T6) (T-O).jpg

I'm not so sure I like the new coloring on his outfit, but at least he has a different look from his Tekken 5/DR incarnation unlike the other characters! Nice pose too! 4/5

Jack-6[edit]

This one's cool. He looks like he'll punch me if I don't give this one a 5/5! I'll give this one a 3/5 *Is slugged by Jack-6*

Jin Kazama[edit]

I really like this one! And look, his outfit is his Tekken 3 one with very minor alterations! 5/5

Even though I'm not that big of a Julia Chang fan, she does look really beautiful here. I mean, REALLY beautiful! And I love the pose too. 5/5

Kazuya Mishima[edit]

Kazuya! He's just caught site of you and is probably thinking "Why are you staring at me...?" I love this pose! 5/5

King[edit]

Ah King, my first favorite Tekken character! His nose looks lighter here for some reason... 4/5

Kuma[edit]

RAAAAAAAAAAR!!!! 3/5

Lee Chaolan[edit]

To quote Lee in his Tekken 4 and 5 endings - "Excellent!" 5/5

Lei Wulong[edit]

They made him look too old!! Oh well, this one is still cool! And I really want that shirt he's wearing!! 4/5

Leo[edit]

Lay-Oh! Laaaaayyyyyy-Oh! Daylight come and me wanna better Leo image! (Remember you pronounce Leo's name as Lay-Oh) The first one is okay, but she looks too male, ditch the straps love! The second image below the first one is much better. She looks very cute in that one. First one gets a 3/5, Second one gets a 4.5/5

Lili[edit]

Stunning! Gorgeous! Lovely!! 5/5! Isn't she lovely??

Ling Xiaoyu[edit]

Oh my god... this is one of if not my all time favorite Tekken 6 art! There was no way this one wasn't gonna get a 5/5.

Marshall Law[edit]

Marshall! You shaved that ugly old moustache! And you look younger, so you now look like a slightly older Forest Law! Great pose too. 5/5

Miguel Caballero Rojo[edit]

Manly Man eh? Nice outfit, but I don't like the way he's staring at me... 2/5

Mokujin[edit]

This one looks good. Thats all I really have to say. 3/5

Nina Williams[edit]

Cool pose Nina! But you really need to get a bodysuit that doesn't expose THAT part of your body... ya know? Bring back the Tekken 3 suit! 3/5

Panda[edit]

Aww! Cute! I just hope that Kuma wasn't behind her when she posed for this image if you know what I mean. 3/5

Paul Phoenix[edit]

They really could have given a Paul a better pose... 2.5/5

Raven[edit]

I kinda like this one. The pose seems fitting for Raven. 4/5

Roger Jr.[edit]

If I could sum up this picture in one word, it would be - cute. 2.5/5

Sergei Dragunov[edit]

Dragunov STILL looks really freaky! 3/5

Wang Jinrei[edit]

Hmmm, well his pose is unique! 2/5

Yoshimitsu[edit]

Yoshimitsu looks more weird and wonderful in every new Tekken game. I always look forward to seeing his new appearance! 4.5/5
