Character of the Month Sergei Dragunov is a character that debuts in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, and he has returned for all subsequent Tekken titles. His fighting style is Sambo, with his various takedowns and bone-snapping techniques arguably being the most standout feature. Dragunov's most identifiable characteristics are never showing emotion and never speaking (while he does have some dialogue in Tekken 6's Scenario Campaign mode, it is only in text, and his sentences are short and to-the-point). Following an investigative report on an anomalous object unearthed from thick ice, the Russian military sends him to infiltrate The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 on a clandestine mission to capture the organism known as "Devil". When his search turns up empty, Dragunov leaves Japan and returns to Russia, where, in light of the ongoing world war that has brought Russia into a state of national unrest and is threatening to breach the security of their government, he is soon given the task of crushing the Mishima Zaibatsu and overthrowing the company's leader, Jin Kazama.
