Introduction
Katarina Alves (カタリーナ・アウヴェス Katarina Aruvesu) first appears in Tekken 7. She was first announced with the reveal of her concept art by Harada for Tekken 7's Location Test in Japan, October 2014. She was designed to be a "beginner friendly" kind of character. In terms of her character personality, she was stated to be "sassy mouthed and vocal"[2].

- Many of her commands are bird-themed such as her Harrier stance.
- She was initially known as "Catalina" due to how the consonants, C and L, are not present in Japanese, and is replaced by K and R in transliteration.
