Хэйхати Мисима (三島平八 Mishima Heihachi) дебютировал в первой игре серии и с тех пор появлялся во всех последующих играх серии.
His given name in Japanese (三島 平八) translates to "Flat Eight" in English. All Mishima given names end with the kanji 八 (meaning eight) pronounced as "Ya", "Pachi", or "Hachi".

- Heihachi retrieved the Mishima Financial Empire by defeating his son.
Scheming to further develop the MFE, Heihachi organized "Tekken Force", the MFE's private corps and dispatched them to settle disputes and brought waste land under cultivation to feed the poor countries of the world to gain support of leaders worldwide.
Fifteen years later, a secret excavation by the Tekken Forces in Central American ruins unearths an unusual find. They were annihilated by a mysterious being.
Heihachi realized that the mysterious being could be the legendary God of Fighting, and took action to realize his life's goal, to capture the God of Fighting and therefore rule the world.
One day, Heihachi was visited by a 15-year-old boy named Jin Kazama. Being informed that Jin was his grandson and hearing what had happened to his mother Jun, Heihachi reasoned that the God of Fighting thrives on the "strong souls" of others. Heihachi trained Jin to use him as a decoy to lure the God of Fighting
In Jin's nineteenth year Heihachi declared to the world that the third 'King of the Iron Fist Tournament' was forthcoming. At the same time he noticed that Jin, the youngest of Mishima bloodline, began to show the same "dangerous power" as Kazuya had. Heihachi decided to dispose of Jin after he lured the God of Fighting in order to end the doomed destiny of the MFE.

- Heihachi defeats True Ogre, and True Ogre dissolves into nothing. Heihachi takes a moment to rest. He notices Jin laying on the ground, unconscious. Jin is laying down on what appears to be a stretcher, and Heihachi is sitting next to him. A short while later, Heihachi notices that devil markings are appearing on Jin's forehead. - Two years ago, Heihachi failed to capture Ogre but his researchers succeeded in collecting samples of it's blood and tissue. These in turn were used in an attempt to create a new life form by combining Heihachi's and Ogre's genetic material. The experiment failed, however, and Heihachi learned that he did not possess the Devil Gene necessary to integrate Ogre's genome with his own. In order to obtain the Devil Gene, Heihachi searched for Jin, who had transformed into a devil during the last tournament. During his search, Heihachi learned that the body of his son, Kazuya, whom he had killed 20 years ago, was stored at a cutting edge biotech firm called G Corporation. Heihachi ordered his Tekken Force to raid G Corporation in order to retrieve his remains. However, the mission ended in failure, when Kazuya, revived by G Corporation, retaliated. In order to create a new life form, Heihachi needed the body of Kazuya or Jin, both of whom carried the Devil Gene. After much deliberation, an evil smile spread across Heihachi's lips. The next day, The King of Iron Fist Tournament 4 was announced.

White text on a black screen says, "Thereafter, the world came to know an age of darkness..."

- Heihachi Mishima. The head of the Mishima Zaibatsu and the sponsor of the King of Iron Fist Tournament 4. A squadron of of JACKs cornered Heihachi after his loss to Jin Kazama in Honmaru. At first, Heihachi and Kazuya fought the JACKs together. But Kazuya fled leaving Heihachi to battle the JACKs alone. The would have killed an ordinary human. But Heihachi, no ordinary man, held off the JACKs and survived the ambush. One month later, he learned that someone has taken control of the Mishima Zaibatsu and opened King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. Heihach prepares to fight again. "I don't know who's behind this but the Mishima Zaibatsu is mine!" says Heihachi.

- Stage 4 Jack-5: Heihachi encounters Jack-5 while on the Final Frontier, realizing that it is "one of the things" that attacking him at Hon-Maru. Heihachi doesn't understand what Kazuya means by this, until it is spelled out for him (he then realizes that Jinpachi has been set free). After gaining victory, Heihachi looks down to an unconcious Kazuya, saying that Jinpachi must be waiting for him.
- Final Stage Jinpachi Mishima: Heihachi and Jinpachi are staring at each other, arms crossed. Heihachi insults Jinpachi, saying that the years haven't been to kind to him. Jinpachi then dares Heihachi to repeat that after his transformation. After winning, Jinpachi tells Heihachi to do as he pleases; however, Heihachi tells him to get up, since the worst is yet to come (like being blasted off into space).

- A rocket is shown while a female voice does a countdown, starting with thirty. The rocket is preparing to launch. It is revealed that Jinpachi, Kazuya, and Jin are strapped onto the rocket with chains. They all try to get free, but they fail. After the countdown is over, a female voice says, "Ignition!" The rocket is launched and all of them scream. Heihachi looks at their faces with binoculars and laughs until the ending video ends.

- His appearance in Tekken 5 is non-canon since he never participated in the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5.
- In Devil Within, it is revealed that Heihachi has been cloned by G Corporation. Apparently, they cloned him four times. They are the final bosses of Level 2.
- Heihachi's sub-bosses are Lee Chaolan, Jack-5, and Kazuya Mishima.
- Heihachi Mishima's new win animation in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection features Heihachi laughing, followed by Heihachi saying, "That felt good. Next!" This is similar to a scene in Heihachi's Tekken 5 / Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection Story mode, where, after defeating Jack-5, followed by headbutting it four times, Heihachi laughs. Then, Heihachi will say, "I feel much better now! Next!"
- He and Paul Phoenix are the only two fighters to not gain an all new default outfit in Tekken 5.

All three Mishima were left burning as shooting stars upon re-entry. As the "three shooting stars" pass through the sky, Ganryu starts wishing for Julia Chang.

Working as the long-time head of the Mishima Zaibatsu, Heihachi Mishima solidified the organization’s foundation. At the same time, however, he ran a top-secret research lab, on the search for a way to understand the aging process and regain his youth. The search for perpetual youth and longevity may have seemed like just a dream, but after years of work, his team of researchers finally completed the rejuvenation serum he sought. "Ha ha ha... Now, eternal youth is finally within my grasp!” Gulping down the serum, the effects became to emerge almost immediately. Within minutes, he had transformed into a younger version of himself, complete with a full head of black hair. “This surging power...! Now I will be invincible!” Just as Heihachi was musing over how to reveal his newfound power to the world, the Tag Tournament announced its opening. “Tag, huh? I think I know just who to choose as my partner.” And with that, the curtain raises on the mysterious Tag Tournament. [1]

A woman is seen working on a computer and later takes out a test tube with a purple liquid on it. Heihachi, now old again takes a drink from a container, becoming young once again. The woman now gives Heihachi the test tube, with Heihachi shouting that he will have regained his old form once again, and drinks the purple liquid from the test tube. Later his canines become sharper and his muscles become larger. Later it reveals that Heihachi has turned into a bear.

After Heihachi learns that both Kazuya and Jin are headed to the Antarctic in pursuit of Pandora, he devises a plot to foil both their plans. However, Heihachi also learns that Pandora will only react when a large number of powerful fighters begin to fight amongst each other. Heihachi worries about finding fighters who could match him in strength in order to trigger a reaction. Then without warning, Kuma, who is also trying to control the Mishima Zaibatsu, shows up.
Kuma: (Jin! I know you're there come out now!)
Heihachi: Kuma! I didn't realize you were here!
Kuma: (H-Heihachi! It was you all along!)
Heihachi: It's been too long, friend!
While infuriated with Jin's actions, Kuma is pleased at the sight of his old master, and decides to travel with him.
Heihachi: When the dust settles, I shall be victorious!
Rival Battle
As Heihachi and Kuma walk they see Guile(whose hair, Heihachi remarks is weird) and Abel. As Guile and Abel notice them they start walking towards them with Abel giving Kuma a strange stare. Heihachi decides to take them down before moving on

Heihachi and Kuma now walk away from a defeated Akuma and try to open the box. Kuma starts hitting Heihachi reminding him that they're splitting the box's contents but Heihachi says that he would only give 10% if it was possible except if it granted power or youth. When Heihachi finally opens the box Kuma hits the box and a giant flash appears. Shortly after Heihachi spots Kuma, now a cub and realizes that only a small portion of his hair was young and shouts that it isn't fair

Heihachi instinctively dodged Pandora but had lost his shot to become young. He now takes the empty Pandora back for research but is left with dead ends regarding the youth. He initially thought about dissecting Kuma but gave up the idea and decided to simply replicate the energy as he couldn't bring himself to kill Kuma.

- His official tag team partner is Kuma. Their special intro has Heihachi say that the opponents have the nerve to challenge him and Kuma, who nods in agreement. Heihachi then states they aren't going to win so easily and calls for Kuma to get ready but Kuma, who just mimicked him doesn't look like he was paying attention.
- Unlike most characters when he goes into "Pandora" his skin simply turns red while for others their skin color changes to black, marks appear on their body and they are surrounded by orbs of light. Furthermore, Heihachi physically swats his partner aside when he activates Pandora.
- His promotional artwork shows various signs of "Heihachi Land" in Xiaoyu's Tekken 3 ending (with Jin and Kazuya blindfolded and strapped to the roller coaster)
- Heihachi and Kuma's rivals are Guile and Abel.
- His estate is a stage in the game. The roof's BGM is a remix of his Tekken 2 theme and the balcony's BGM is his Tekken 3 arcade theme remixed.
- His Swap costume is modelled after Sodom, a character from Capcom's Final Fight series who was also playable in the Street Fighter Alpha series. According to the download blurb, Heihachi taught Sodom how to truly appreciate Japanese culture and Sodom sent him a samurai suit as a token of thanks.
- Heihachi is voiced by Unshio Ishizuka in the Japanese voice track, and Jamieson Price in the English dub, as he was in Tekken: Blood Vengeance. He is the only member of the Mishima family in the game to retain his English voice actor from the movie.

Heihachi appears in Namco X Capcom as one of the main protongists (suprisingly, proving Heihachi's anti hero description) in the game he helps all of his allys defeat all the evil characters of the Namco/Capcom universe.

Heihachi makes a cameo in Nina Williams' spin-off game, Death by Degrees. First, he is shown speaking to Enrique Ortega via satellite. In it, Heihachi states that he is not interested in "that silly weapon", and that he only gave Enrique use of his Tekken Force to test the skills of his elite warriors. When he spots Nina sneaking up on Enrique, Heihachi acknowledges her as "the ultimate sweeper", and he says that he'll take her. Enrique says he can take her, adding "As a corpse, that is..." as his feed cuts out.
Heihachi is also an optional final boss for Nina. To fight him, the player has to complete "Anna Mode", then go through the main game a second time. When Anna Mode is completed, a screen of Heihachi is shown with text stating that Heihachi heads towards the Amphitrite to fight. When the final boss fight with Anna is reached, the game will give the player the choice of fighting either him or Anna. Choosing "Yes" will lead to a cutscene where Heihachi runs up from Anna's left side and kicks her away, saying "I'll take care of this. I'll show you how it's done." as he enters his fighting stance.
Heihachi's attire for this fight consists of a white hakama with red flames on the pant legs, a red belt around his waist in the front, arm gauntlets, and his trademark geta sandals, with white socks. He fights using most of his moves from the Tekken series, such as "Hell Axle" (u/f+3,4), "Dragon Uppercut" (f,N,d,D/F+1), and his "Heaven's Wrath" (b+1+4_b+2+3) attack reversal. His attacks do a great amount of damage, and he is also resilient against most regular attacks. Like Anna, the fight with Heihachi is strictly hand-to-hand combat. Beating Heihachi does not alter the ending cutscene.

Heihachi Mishima is featured in Tekken: The Motion Picture. In it, Heihachi is first shown throwing his son, Kazuya Mishima, off of a cliff at the age of five, stating that lions push their young off of cliffs and only raise the ones that manage to climb back up. Twenty-one years later, Heihachi hosts a martial arts tournament, dubbed The King of Iron Fist Tournament, on an island. Kazuya attends the tournament, having survived his fall and climbed back up by selling his soul to the Devil. Heihachi and Kazuya face off near the movie's end. The battle is brutal for both of them, but, in the end, Kazuya emerges as the victor. Kazuya plans to kill Heihachi, but Jun Kazama manages to convince him not to. After Lee Chaolan sets the island to self-destruct, it is revealed that Heihachi has regained consciousness, and he escapes from the island via an airplane.

Heihachi appears in the Tekken: Blood Vengeance movie. For the first half, he is only seen in a portrait that is prominently displayed both inside the Mishima Zaibatsu and in the principal's office of Mishima Polytechnic High School. He is first mentioned by name when Xiaoyu and Alisa sneak into the school's underground facility in search of information regarding Shin Kamiya's past, where Xiaoyu finds his name attached to a document regarding the Mutare Experiment. Xiaoyu later goes on to inform Alisa that Heihachi has been thought to be dead for three years, killed by his son, Kazuya (a callback to Tekken 5's opening movie).
Through a text message, Lei Wulong confirms to her that he survived that incident, furthering her belief that he was behind Shin's abduction. This theory is proven to be correct when Xiaoyu and Alisa make it to Kyoto Castle, where Heihachi finally shows up in person, directly following the arrival of Jin and Kazuya. Now within his reach, Shin makes an attempt to exact vengeance upon Heihachi for what he's done to him. However, he is completely unfazed by Shin's attack, and he promptly kills him with a jumping torture rack backbreaker, right after explaining to Jin and Kazuya that his work on developing the M-cell was not done to obtain immortality, but as a means to lure them both out so he can acquire his true goal, the power of the Devil Gene.
What follows is an all-out war between Heihachi, Kazuya, and Jin, his highlighting moments include catching Jin with a German Suplex after Kazuya had tossed him away, delivering his signature Jumping Powerbomb to Jin onto Kazuya's back through several of the castle's floors, and performing an air juggle on Kazuya that brings him to a wall, where a final right punch to the torso briefly takes Kazuya out of the fight. Shortly afterwards, Jin manages to turn the fight in his favor, using a flurry of punches to knock Heihachi out of the castle to a long fall to the ground below.
After Jin defeats Kazuya (with both of them having entered their respective Devil forms), he tells Xiaoyu that he'll be challenged again some day, be it by someone more powerful, or by Xiaoyu herself. Immediately, the sound of Heihachi's voice calls out, as he awakens the spirit of The Kyoto Earth Goddess, collecting the numerous surrounding trees (which were all Mokujin) into one gigantic monster, controlled by Heihachi from the inside. Though the spirits of those Mokujin attempt to resist when he tries getting them to squash Xiaoyu, Alisa, and Panda, he soon quells them, sending the trio backwards into what remains of the castle in doing so. It takes the combined efforts of Alisa and Devil Jin to put this creature to rest, with Alisa firing both her arms into its heart in an attack she dubs "Skyrocket Super Punch", and Devil Jin taking advantage of its staggered state to cut its entire body in half with a powerful laser. Heihachi is directly in the path of both these attacks, but it is up to speculation whether or not he survives this assault.
